Renato Bernardi is a freestanding make-up artist whose versatility and meticulous research of texture, colours and glamour has firmly established his reputation in the fashion and beauty industry. In 1982 he begins his career in N.Y. with Diego Dalla Palma, and subsequently becomes freelance for one of the most well known agencies in N.Y., regularly travelling to Europe to follow the major fashion shows. In 1989 he returns to live permanently in Milan and in 1998 he opens the "Renato Bernardi Make Up lmage", management for freelance make-up artists and hair stylists until December 2009. He is now represented by On The Lips.

Since 1996, Renato Bernardi has been following the creation of the "Versace Make-Up" industry, thus becoming its Creative Director until December 2004.

During his career, he has worked with photographers, such as Gianpaolo Barbieri, Walter Chin, Michel Comte, Fabrizio Ferri, Piero Gemelli, Jean-Paul Goude, David LaChapelle, Annie Liebowitz, Peter Lindberg, Tiziano Magni, Helmut Newton, Doug Ordway, Rankin, Tyen and many others, for the most important fashion magazines and advertising campaigns. He has also been acting as the key make-up artist tor the fashion shows of the greatest world stylists of our time, amongst them names such as Versace, Versus, Giorgio Armani,  Valentino and many others.
